Designed in Noosa: Why Every Amali Piece Starts on the Sunshine Coast

Every Amali piece starts the same way, not on a factory floor, but somewhere on the Sunshine Coast. In the water at Little Cove, on a mat at Aloha Active, at a market stall in Peregian. Noosa isn't a tagline for me. It's genuinely where every design begins.

Where the ideas actually come from

I sketch new styles in my notes app between classes, at the beach, wherever an idea hits. The colours, the prints, the way a strap should sit, all of it comes from what I'm noticing in real life here. A collection like Ozoux started because I couldn't find a bikini that held up the way I needed it to for my own days, swimming, training, working markets.

What "designed in Noosa" actually covers

Every concept, every fit adjustment, every fabric choice and every test happens here, on me, in the conditions I'm designing for. I try a design in the ocean before I ever consider it finished. If it doesn't hold up at Little Cove or through a Pilates class, it doesn't go any further.

Design isn't just a sketch. It's testing something until it actually works for the life you're designing it for.

Why this matters to me

Noosa shaped every part of how I design, the pace, the movement, the light, the community at the markets. That's not marketing, that's just where this brand actually lives.
