Every Amali piece starts on the Sunshine Coast, long before it ever becomes fabric in your hands. This is what "designed in Noosa" actually means, and it's a promise I take seriously.
The part that happens here
Every sketch, colourway, print and fit starts with me, in the water at Little Cove, on a mat at Aloha Active, at a market stall in Peregian. I test every design in the conditions it's actually built for before I'll call it finished. That's design, and it's genuinely local work.
Why the good stuff takes time
Once a design earns its place, I hand it to a manufacturing partner I trust completely to bring it to life with the same care I put into designing it (shout out to Vivian, love you girl). That handover is where the craftsmanship takes over: hand sewing double lined seams, checking every print placement, making sure each piece holds up the way it tested on me. Good swimwear isn't fast to make, and I'd rather take the time to get it right than rush something out the door.
I'd rather you know exactly how a piece comes together than let a label do the explaining for me.
Why I tell you this
Small brands are built on trust, and trust comes from being upfront about how something is actually made. Designed in Noosa is true, specific and something I'm genuinely proud of, from the first sketch to the final fit check.
