Australian Swimwear, Designed for an Australian Summer

Australian Swimwear, Designed for an Australian Summer

Amali is an independent, Australian-owned swimwear label, designed on the Sunshine Coast for an Australian summer. That shapes almost every decision I make, from the fabric I choose to the way I test a fit before it ever goes on sale.

Built for how we actually spend summer here

An Australian summer isn't a two week holiday, it's months of ocean swims, Pilates, markets, and long days outside. That's a different brief to swimwear designed for a week by a resort pool. Every Amali piece has to handle salt water, chlorine, sun and constant movement, over and over, because that's what a real Australian summer asks of it.

Swimwear for an Australian summer has to work as hard as we do in it.

Designed here, made with care

Every piece is designed by me here in Noosa: the sketch, the print, the fit, tested on my own body in the ocean and at Pilates. From there, I hand each design to a manufacturing partner I trust to bring it to life with the same care I put into designing it. Amali started with $2,000 and no experience, and it's still independent and Australian-owned today, which means every decision, from a print to a policy, is one I've made myself.

Why I design this way

I design every piece around how an Australian summer actually feels: salt water, sun, constant movement, because that's the standard I hold myself to. That same standard works anywhere the sun's out and the water's warm. If a piece can handle a full Australian summer, it can handle yours too, wherever you are.
