Every time I pack for a trip I get asked the same thing: how are you only bringing one bag. The answer is that I'm not packing fewer clothes, I'm packing pieces that do more than one job.
The maths of reversible packing
One Amali set gives you two prints per piece. Pack the Ozoux Set and the Marie Bikini Set and you've got eight looks from four pieces, before you've even started mixing tops and bottoms across the two.
Layer the Marie Top underneath the Ozoux Top and you've got a look that looks styled, not repeated, even on day six of the same trip.
You don't need a full drawer of bikinis. You need a few that were actually designed to be worn more than one way.
What I actually pack
- One top and bottom set for training, swimming and mornings that move fast
- One set with a bit more shape for slower days
- Nothing that needs its own separate outfit plan
That's it. Every piece is double lined and built to handle the ocean one day and a Pilates class the next, so nothing in the bag is doing just one job.
Less to pack, less to think about
A capsule wardrobe isn't about owning less for the sake of it. It's about everything you own actually earning its place. That's the whole idea behind reversible design, and it's why I still only need one bag.
