The Ozoux and Marie are the two designs people ask me about the most, so here's where the names actually came from, because it's not a trend word or a random pick. Both are named after my best friend, Tara Marie Ozoux.
How we met
We met by chance in late 2021 and it was one of those friendships that felt permanent almost immediately. When it came time to name the two designs that would go on to define Amali's whole direction, there was only ever one name that felt right.
She represents everything this collection stands for: strength, softness, and quiet confidence.
Why these two designs specifically
Ozoux and Marie were the collection that changed how I design. Before them I knew what I liked but hadn't yet made something that fully captured it. These two pieces were the moment that clicked: streamlined, supportive, buttery fabric with a structured finish, timeless instead of trend driven.
The Ozoux Top and Shorts are built for movement first, a scoop neck and full coverage shorts for the woman who trains, swims, and doesn't want to think about her bikini while she's doing it. The Marie Top and Bottom bring a little more shape, a halter with adjustable ties for fuller busts and smaller waists.
What they've become
Ozoux and Marie are the two pieces I hear about the most from women who wear Amali, in Pilates studios, in the ocean, at markets, in messages. Every one of those stories is part of why I kept designing this way.
